Santa Croce was a model we were hired to design on Marco Island, Florida. The client wanted the home to have tile floors, a relaxed feel and a congruent interior design for this very open floor plan. We used "Mexican style" tile floors for easy maintenance and a good look and then incorporated very comfortable fabrics and deep cushioned sofas. The sliding glass door open all across the back of the house to let the outdoor in and the furnishings reflect that casualness, with a few pieces to add a touch of elegance.
The soffit at the ceiling, surrounding the kitchen area, is the only separation between the kitchen and the family room/dining room/living room. All rooms are open to each other, which creates a wonderful home for entertaining.
